Setting up your Vault

Learn how to set up your Vault and sync your files to the Cloud or start a private offline Vault.

You can start WrangleBot in two modes: Cloud Sync and Offline.

If you choose Offline, you will be able to start the app without setting up a Vault PIN. Skip to the bottom if you want to start offline without any of the syncing features.

When you start WrangleBot for the first time you will be greeted with the following screen. The app will open your default web browser and display the Vault Login.

☁️ Setting up your Vault with Cloud Sync

You require a free Cloud Sync account in order to sync with a Cloud Sync Vault. Create your account at wranglebot.io/register and check your email to get your personal token to your Vault.

These are your organisation credentials of wranglebot.io. Create your own account here.

🎟️ Token

This token is the key that allows you to access your database and create a local Vault to store your transactions in.

🤫 Vault PIN

Choose a four digit pin code to encrypt your token with. Why? Because you don't want your key lying around, but you also don't want to always have to copy and paste the token to open the app. A four digit code is a nice compromise to this problem.

Starting a Cloud Vault

Now click the Create Cloud Vault, if the credentials were accepted you will see a success message and WrangleBot will start syncing any existing transactions.

When the process has completed you will be greeted by the Dashboard.

Starting Offline Vault

Click "Open Local Vault" to open your local Vault.
